How to use flash card to teach your kids Chinese?

This is the way how I use flash card to teach my daughter Chinese words.

Show your kids two cards each time.

Ask her, which one is "xxx"? For example, which one is "Fish"? or "哪一个是鱼?;
Before you ask, be sure that she knows the right word already.

How do you know that she know the right answer?
Basically, one of the cards is something you taught her recently.
For example, you know that you just taught her "fish", you can test her if she know "fish".
You use the opportunity of showing her a new word in the second card to "teach" her.
For example, you just teach her what is "Chicken". You can put Chicken and Fish together and ask "which one is Fish". Since she know the Chicken one, that cannot be fish. She will pick up another one.

I use this technique to teach my daughter a lot of words. It works very well for her.

Sometime, I show her two cards that she does not know any of these two cards entirely. For example, like "Which one is 枕头?" I show two cards "枕头" and "棉被". I know "棉被" is a new word she does not know, but I know she know what "头" is. She can actually answer the question correctly. She also learn the new word "枕" in this way.

Using this way, she never felt boring.

[Teach-Baby-Chinese] Babies Can Read Chinese at EduFire.com

I have created a group in www.edufire.com:

www.edefire.com allows us to create flash cards. My six year old loves it. I feel that this is an excellent way to keep her up with learning Chinese.
